RAFFLES UNIVERSITY LOGISTIC CLUB ORGANISED A FIELD TRIP TO ISOTANK CONTAINER SERVICES SDN BHD

Raffles University Logistics Club (RAFULOC) organised a field trip to Isotank Container Services Sdn Bhd. The field trip also includes the Raffles Students from Bachelor of Supply Chain Management (Honours) who are attending the module – Introduction to Logistics. There was a total of 16 Raffles Students who joined the field trip.
Multimodal is defined as the movement of cargo from origin to destination using several modes of transportation. Shipping Containers are a good example of packaging which has to go through multiple modes of transport.
On this trip, the Raffles students learned in practical the concept of Multimodalism, the strategy of empty repositioning of containers, and the function of a container depot.
Special thanks to Mr Jason LIM from Isotank Container Services Sdn Bhd for being such a great host and willingly sharing industry knowledge with the students. And also, the food was really good!
