Dr Mohd Afzhan
HRD Corp Accredited Trainer

Dr Afzhan, holding a PhD in Business Administration (2015) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Open & Distance Learning (2012), has over a decade of experience as an academician and administrator at Open University Malaysia. Specializing in admission procedures, marketing initiatives, and group planning & strategy, Dr. Afzhan has conducted training sessions for 60+ institutions, funded by HRDC grants. With TTT certifications, they are eligible for HRDC claimable training programs and have taught executive courses at institutions like UUM, UNISEL & UMP. In their early career, Dr. Afzhan worked in auditing and procurement roles. Currently licensed in Islamic Estate Planning, they actively assist clients and have presented 36 academic papers in the past 6 years.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  •  Holds a PhD in Business Administration (2015), Post Graduate Certificate in Open & Distance Learning (2012), Master in Business Administration (2010), Degree in Accountancy (2007) & Diploma in Accountancy (2004).
  • Worked as Operational Auditor for about two years in Great Eastern Life and Procurement Analyst for about a year in Exxon Mobil in his early career.
  • Being an Associate member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants. Actively working with Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) to conduct trainings (official MQA training centre trainer).
  • Being an accreditation panel to award MQA accreditation licenses to higher education providers and creating policy documents for the nation.
  • International Award: Young Innovator Award (Gold Medal in 2016) from Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU) in Manila & Best Paper Award (Silver Medal in 2015) from Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU) in Kuala Lumpur.
  • Member of Jawatankuasa Teknikal Pembelajaran Sepanjang Hayat (PSH) at MOHE (2021-2022).
  • Head of Strategic Taskforce to review the national education policy at MOHE (2023).
  • Interviewed by RTM in national television on 2022 on Pembelajaran Sepanjang Hayat dalam lonjakkan Produktiviti.
  • Hold the title of ‘Competent Communicator’ from Toastmaster Club
