An Immersive English Learning and University Experience
From 21 July to 15 August 2025, Raffles University hosted the University Advancement Camp – English Programme at its Medini Campus, welcoming students from Korea for an immersive learning and cultural experience.
The programme was designed to strengthen students’ English communication skills while providing opportunities to experience university learning, explore different academic disciplines and engage with life in Malaysia.
Learning Beyond English
English classes formed a key part of the programme, supported by structured lessons and learning activities. The programme began with a level test and induction to prepare students for their learning journey.
Beyond English lessons, students also participated in lectures and activities related to Arts & Design and AI & Robotics, broadening their exposure to different areas of university study.
Combining Learning with Cultural Experiences
Learning extended beyond the classroom through activities and educational visits to destinations including Melaka, Singapore and LEGOLAND Malaysia.
The programme concluded on 15 August 2025 with a final class and celebration, marking the completion of the students’ learning journey at Raffles University.
Through a combination of English learning, academic exposure and cultural experiences, the University Advancement Camp provided students with an engaging opportunity to build confidence, broaden their perspectives and experience university life in an international environment.
